Affectionately, and widely known as 'Podge', William Maunder played his GrassRoots & most of his senior football with one of the truly great clubs of Australian football history, Westy, the Bluebells of Johnson's Paddock, West Wallsend.
As a 19yr old, Podge scored Australia's only goal in the 3-1 loss to NZ at Dunedin's 'House of Pain', Carisbrooke. This was Australia's first EVER official international & Podge is officially Socceroo #8.
He would later be joined by his elder brother Henry in the national side giving them another piece of history to call their own.
