Josh Kennedy, not the Sydney Swans Josh Kennedy nor the West Coast Eagles Josh Kennedy, but Socceroo #492 has named the Twin City Wanderers as his GrassRoots club.
Beginning his football story as year old at Kelly Park he came under the mentorship of Stephen Hayes, a former board member of FNSW and also a life member of the Riverina FA.
Kennedy made his Socceroo debut from the bench in Australia's 3-1 win over Liechtenstein just prior to the 2006 World Cup and would score 17 goals in a career that lasted 36 games over 8 years in the green and gold. His towering frame was always a target for a well placed cross.
