A very pleasant surprise awaited when I dropped in on an NPL trial game en route to seeing one of the '65 Socceroos and he is today's nominator.
Socceroo #307, David Mitchell, has nominated Ingle Farm JSC as his GrassRoots club. The name Mitchell was writ large over the history of the club from Rowe Park in Adelaides's northern suburbs and it is from here as a 6yr old that David began his climb to the top.
"Big Mitch" made his Socceroo debut in 1981 in a WC qualifier against Taiwan after having been a member of the historic World Youth side earlier in the season.
It was indeed a great surprise to catch up & an honour to add his name & a new club to the GFP list.
