Brett Holman began his footballing odyssey with the Enfield Rovers from Sydney's Canterbury association, one of the most storied urban playing regions of the country.
Under the watchful eye of Charlie Palmer from a young age at the club Holman's career took him to Europe, the Premier league, the Middle East and finally back home to the A-League with Brisbane Roar.
On the way there was an U17 World Cup and the first World Cup on the African continent where he was the only Australian to twice find the back of the net. He won a title in the Dutch Eredivise and won the first of his 63 international caps off the bench in 2006 against Bahrain alongside fellow debutant & World Cup team mate Michael Beauchamp.
