Gary van Egmond has nominated the now merged Manly Soccer Club as his GrassRoots club. Manly & Allambie merged in 1992.
Gary started out at Miller Reserve as a 4yr old making his way through the ages and into the Manly reps from u8-13's, eventually teaming up with another local Ian Gray (Manly Vale SC) at Apia because they were te closest NSL club.
Gary made his Socceroo debut against the might of Brazil in 1988 alongside Robbie Slater. He now assists Alen Stajcic in the coaching team of the Matilda's.
