Growing up almost six hours drive north of the Uruguayan capitol Montevideo, Socceroo #618 Bruno Fornaroli, has named as his grassroots club Ferro Carril de Santo FC.
Bruno spent the first three years of his footballing life in his home town learning under the tutelage of Mario de Souza before heading to the big smoke as a twelve year old to join National. His journey eventually lead him to Melbourne City in 2015, after stints in Italy, Argentina, Brasil, Spain & Greece.
A prolific and elegant goalscorer, Bruno, after taking Australian citizenship, made his Socceroos debut in 2022 at 34 years of age in a World Cup qualifying loss to Japan. At the time of writing he was still, at 36, the leading goal getter in the ALM with his third Australian club, Melbourne Victory.
