The storied and colourful career of Mark Bosnich, Socceroo #395 began, like so many others of his era, in the Fairfield district of south-western Sydney & with the Hajduk Rangers club from Bosnjak Park.
Bozza's journey would take him through the varying levels of the game with Mark Snr a towering figure behind the scenes. He played alongside Paul Okon in the Marconi youth teams and would eventually contest the No.1 jersey alongside 2 other huge figures from the district, Zjelko Kalac & Mark Schwarzer.
Bosnich's debut for Australia came against New Zealand in 1993 just 2 months before Schwarzer. Bosnich was at the heart of the club v. country battle while playing with a number of England's largest clubs and thus he only was able to play 17 times for Australia.
He returned to Australia to eventually become one of the biggest personalities in the game & one never afraid to give voice to his opinion.
