Robbie has named Valentine FC as his GrassRoots club where he started as a 5yr old, but his path to the G&G was an different one as he only played the 1 season before turning to rugby league. Rob came back to Valentine at 11 and still turns out for the club, so you could say his career has been topped and tailed at Croudace Bay.
He made his Socceroo debut in the Nations Cup in 2002 as one of 6 first timers to win their caps against Vanuatu.
I spoke to Rob from Costa Rica where he was working with FIFA and it is indeed a pleasure to have yet ANOTHER product from the seemingly endless Hunter production line onboard.
