Back on the starting blocks with one of the great speedsters of the Australian forward line, Socceroo #261, Peter Sharne.
The club Peter has named as his GrassRoots club is another that has passed by the wayside, Lansvale JSC. Peter's progression to the Socceroos followed 5years at Lansvale, Southern Districts Reps then the might of Marconi where, with Mark Jankovic & Eddie Krncevic, he formed one of the most lethal frontlines in the NSL.
Debuting in the critical WC Qualifier against Iran at Olympic Park in 1977, Peter gained a further 20 caps & scored 8 times.
