The latest player to join the ranks is none other than the man simply known as Paulo, Paul Okon, Socceroo #377.
There was only ever one club that Paul would nominate; his parents met at Club Marconi, his father played at Marconi & even before he started playing Paul was a ballboy for Marconi, and thus he has nominated... surprise surprise, Marconi.
Paulo started playing with the Stallions at the age of 9 under the tutelage of his father Klaus & stayed with the club until making first grade.
He made his Socceroo debut off the bench in 1991 against Czechoslavakia along with some of the great names of Australian football, would earn 28 caps in the Australian midfield and go on to Captain his country.
It was indeed an honour to meet Paul at the Marconi Hall of Fame dinner and an even greater honour to add his name to our list..
