Neil nominated St.Catherines United FC, St.Cats, from Brisbane's western suburbs as his GrassRoots club. Starting there as a 5yr old under the tutelage of his father, he spent three formative years at
Peter Lightfoot Oval and would eventually end up at Coalstars (the answer I was expecting) before heading to the UK as an 11yr old.
Neil made his debut against Liechtenstein in the run up to the 06 World Cup while playing for Birmingham City. He missed out on the final squad but would earn 15 caps after this & given his current form, more caps are still a possibility.
