Celebration time !!!
On the eve of Australia v. Greece we chalk up local club number 200, and it is the GrassRoots club of none other than Socceroo captain Mile Jedinak.
Without a moment's hesitation Mile offered up Werrington Croatia as his GrassRoots club. Mile started out at Croatia Pk as a young tacker and has grown into a true captain of Australia.
He was one of 9 players to make his debut in the 2008 friendly against Singapore alongside Matt Spiranovic among others having outlasted all in the green & gold that day.
A quiet, humble man a smile lit up his face when I mentioned Werrington, clearly a man proud of his GrassRoots beginnings.
