Today's nominator is a Hall of Famer and the other half of our most stable central defence combination.
Milan Ivanovic, Socceroo #372, like so many of our European raised stars learned his football at school & on he streets and parks of his home town, Sivac in the north of Serbia.
Milan played his first game of organised football at 15, and 16 years later while making his mark at the heart of the Adelaide City defence in the NSL, he made the first of 34 appearances for the Socceroos against the Czechs. His first boots were hand me down Addidas' from the Sivac 1st team goal-keeper, but he wore them with pride & always played with a calmness & elegance that set him apart.
