From the club that gave us Arnie also comes Socceroo #385. Mike Grbevski has nominated the Gladiators from Canberra road as his GrassRoots club. This will come as a surprise to all at Gwawley Bay in Sydney's Sutherland Assn., because while they celebrate Arnie, this one slipped through the net & THIS is one of the reasons the GFP came into existence.
Last weekend I reffed at Canberra Rd a senior women's semi & this week two senior women sides from the club face off in a final. Its only a small club but fiercely proud and now they have something & someone else to celebrate. Much more than all the big clubs in the Shire put together.
