Another of those sadly gone before their time is today's nominator, Socceroo 287, Martyn Crook.
Delving through the family archives we found that Martyn learned his football at Para Hills Primary School & naturally Para Hills SC beginning his football journey as a 10 yr old and always under the watchful 7 educated eye of his dad & mentor, Arthur.
Always a keeper, Martyn would win a little added pocket money at Knights training taking on the newbies in sprints which his team mates would con them into. He was seriously quick.
Martyn made the first of his 8 appearances off the bench for Australia against Taiwan in 1979.
Para Hills, from Adelaide's north, now has 3 names to its credit with Martyn preceding Michael Marrone & Ryan McGowan in donning the Australian jersey.
