Lisa started at Beale Park at the age of 12, playing in a mixed team and inside 10 years she would have announced herself to the world.
Lisa debuted against NZ in 2004 alongside Sarah Walsh & Kate Gill who would form the deadliest attack Australian Women's football has seen. Between them, they have over 110 goals to their credit.
She is the veteran of 3 World Cups and has literally played all over the world.
Lisa is currently en route to Abu Dhabi for the Asian Footballer of the Year event for which she is nominated alongside Caitlin Foord.
My thanks go to fellow Matilda's legend Renaye Isereif for finally pinning the elusive one down.
It is truly an honour to welcome aboard Matilda's captain & bona fide legend, Lisa de Vanna.
