In a week where the Matilda's play their first games on home soil since game on home soil in over a year, its a pleasure to welcome Matilda #109 into the fold.
Leanne Trimboli has named the club from Richardson reserve, Modbury Vista from Adelaide's north-east, as her GrassRoots club joining Daniel Mullen in doing so. Modbury is also the club where her daughter now plays.
Leanne was another late starter, finding herself in goal at 15, only because the team needed a keeper and she volunteered without knowing any better. It was between the sticks she stayed. Under the guidance of Trevor McDonough & Warren Wissen she quickly progressed to state level & eventually into the national set-up, making her debut in 2000 against the Czech Republic in preparation for the Olympics and experience like so many others which has given her friends for life.
