Another I caught up with on Tuesday night is the pride of Bunbury. Josh Risdon. Socceroo #583 has naturally enough nominated Bunbury Utd as his GrassRooots club.
Bunbury is 1hr 3/4 south of Perth in WA and Josh is the first international to come from the region.
Formed in 1968, Utd play at the interestingly named "Soccerdrome" in a very healthy SWSA comp along with 16 other clubs, something unimaginable when it kicked off less than 50yrs ago.
Josh made his Socceroo debut in the WC qualifier against Bangladesh and made an impact from the start.
A pleasure to have such a recently capped player as Josh on board and to add a new club to the growing list.
