Kosi started at Croydon Park as a 12yr old subbing for the under 16's, then by 1969 Polonia had an under 14 side for him to play in. In less than 8 years he'd made his international debut & signed for Arsenal, not bad for a kid from Largs Bay Primary.
Kosi made his Socceroo debut on the 1976 Tour against Hong Kong and would be capped on a further 59 occasions, scoring 25 times.
He has been inducted into the Hall of Fame, coached at State League, NSL & A-League level AND had a street named after him.
Polonia went on to become the Croydon Kings & Croydon Park became Polonia Park. at the time of writing the Polonia/Kings club has 4 nominations putting them at the upper echelon of our GrassRoots clubs.
