The next cab off the Socceroo rank is Jason Culina, Socceroo #483.
Jason has a brace of clubs from Melbourne, St.Albans & Melbourne Knights.
Following in the footsteps of big brother Dean, Jason started at Churchill Reserve as a 6-yr old and often played up a couple of grades alongside his brother. After 5 years he moved to the Knights where dad Branko was coaching the 1sts & Joe Biscic looked after young Jason.
Jason made the first of his 58 national team appearances in 2005 against Sth Africa in Durban & was a mainstay through 2 World Cups something we could only dream of.
My thanks to Branko, as Jason was tied up with guiding his NPL2 charges through a hard fought victory on a perfect Sydney winter's afternoon.
