Today its back to the Women's Game, with Matilda #114. Gill Thompson (nee Foster) is the first to put forward a club from the Gladesville-Hornsby Assoc. with her nomination of the Epping Eastwood Tigers. GHFC operated the entire Women's comp out of Frank Donwing / Morrison Bay Park, a complex of 4 full size pitches and a half field by the Parramatta River's northern shore in Putney. Which like the rest of Sydney this weekend, was officially washed out. She made her Matilda's debut against Sth Korea in '02 and went on to earn 39 caps.

At age 55, when his body gave up on playing, he took up the whistle to stay actively involved. In November of 2014 he created the GFP on Facebook to fill the void left by those in control of the game & in January 2016 launched this website. |
