Joining the Tredinnick brothers in naming Lake Macquarie as her GrassRoots club, is Matilda #190, the Newcastle W-League skipper, Gema Simon.
Like the Tredinnicks, Gema has a family connection to the national team where she played alongside her cousin, Kyah Simon, both starting in the 2017 Algarve Cup in Portugal and both were graduates of the 2006 Australian Football Schoolgirls side. Gema made her full Australian debut against Scotland in the Cyprus Cup in 2014.
