Bryleeh Henry

Fast, agile & from a multi-sport background, one of the batch of graduates from Leah Blayney's future Matildas is young striker Bryleeh Henry, Matilda #217.

A product of the Nepean association at Sydney's western most extremity, Bryleeh has named Glenmore Park as her GrassRoots club.
A relatively late starter, as a 9yr old her athleticism made her a standout up front from the get go scoring goals for fun and attracted the attention of coaches like former Matilda Taryn Rockall at Blacktown and specialist forwards coach Michael Robson.

SAP, Reps & the institute have all been part of the pathway for Bryleeh leading to a senior Matildas debut against Brazil in Sydney in 2021 as part of coach Tony Gustavsson's drive to find the right blend of experience and youthful exuberance for the 2023 World Cup.

With the crop of established stars well set she will have a job in front of her, but the WSW star may just make the perfect foil for the likes of Sam Kerr & at just 18 there is plenty of time ahead. Welcome aboard Bryleeh.

Greg Werner began playing in 1965, with the GrassRoots club of Socceroo skipper Murray Barnes, a change of suburb at age 6 and a new club, one that would become the GrassRoots club of Rob Wheatley & after a 27 year hiatus came back to playing with the GrassRoots club of Socceroos Steve Perry, Richie Bell, Chris Iconomidis & Matilda, Justine Fisher, one could say that the links with the NT are ingrained.
At age 55, when his body gave up on playing, he took up the whistle to stay actively involved. In November of 2014 he created the GFP on Facebook to fill the void left by those in control of the game & in January 2016 launched this website.
