The final piece of the current Brisbane Roar puzzle is now in place with today's nominator, Brooke Spence, Matilda #160.
Brooke holds a unique place in our country's footballing history as... a dual international. Nominating Kawungan Sandy Straits FC from Queensland's Hervey Bay area as her GrassRoots club, Brooke's tale harkens back to an earlier day when talented kids played many sports, Brooke started out in football with Kawungan and moved to Softball in which she also excelled, to the point of making the national team as a teenager but finally saw the light and came back to her first love, making the first of her 12 appearances in the green and gold off the bench against China in 2008.
Brooke is now a pivotal member of the Roar defence and it is a delight to add both her & Kawungan to the GFP family.
