There's always a bright side to everything, and the good to arise from last night's loss to the Nix was that I got to meet & speak with Soccer #465 about his GrassRoots experiences.
Ante Milicic began his football journey at Strathfield Soccer club as a 6yr old but the club he has nominated is Sydney Croatia/United 58 as his GrassRoots club.
While based at Edensor Park in Sydney's west, the club's juniors led a very nomadic life during Ante's time, with at least 3 grounds being used as home base.
Ante made his national team debut in 2002 while playing with Olympic which was when I first had the pleasure on watching him play.
