Andrew Callanan, joins Gary Manual & Rod Brown as an alumnus of East Bankstown Soccer Club.
Andrew started at Gosling Park as a 5yr old and stuck solid until making the jump to Bankstown reps in the 13s, it then only took a couple of years for him to make the move to the big time with the Melita Eagles. Clearly a man of principle, Andrew was with the Eagles for 11 years and made his Australian debut in 1991 alongside fellow Eagle Greg Brown, a very big day for the club.
Andrew has long since moved to Queensland and has gone through the coaching of his kids to running the club at Buderim.
Great to see someone who has achieved so much giving back to the GrassRoots. Oh yes, and he was recently voted into the Marconi Hall of Fame alongside some of the true legends of the game.
