Google the name Lisa Dunne & you won't find a hell of a lot about Matilda #32, but the one thing we know for sure, because she told us, is that her GrassRoots club is the same as two other early Matildas, Deb Bonshore & Shelley Youman. The club is the southern Newcastle club, Kahiba.
Dunne, a forward, won the first of her 10 caps at the end of 1984 against the old enemy New Zealand while she was playing with Toronto making her the first of her Kahiba team mates to make the highest grade.
Dunne endured a number of knee reconstructions in a 15 year playing career earning her last cap in 1999 just prior to the World Cup
when another injury ruled her out and effectively ended her career.
