Melbourne City's Leah Davidson, Matilda #232, becomes the third player from the Burleigh Bulldogs to wear the green and gold.
Based at Pizzey Park in the Gold Coast suburb of Miami, Burleigh had previous nominations from Socceroo Jade North and the one they call 'The Wall', Matilda's goalkeeper McKenzie Arnold.
Leah started at Burleigh as a four year old and was with the club until the age of eleven when she moved into the Brisbane Roar academy system. She credits former Roar coach & Matilda's assistant Mel Andrietta for much of her development as a player after having a number of different coaches at Pizzey Park.
Davidson earned her stripes from the bench during Tom Sermanni's third stint in the Matildas head role in a friendly win against Chinese Taipei in Melbourne. She would earn her starting debut three days later against the same opponents in Geelong.
